Drawing & Design Checker

Requirements and responsibilities:

  • Knowledge of industry mechanical draughting techniques.
  • Able to work independently with designers and engineers on various projects, checking detailed and assembly drawings for manufacturing or fabrication.
  • Prioritize and manage checking tasks to support the budgeted hours and scheduled due dates for projects.
  • Assist in creating, updating, and evaluating Alaris quality plan procedures relating to engineering drawings and documentation.
  • Attend design reviews and related project meetings (as requested).
  • Coordinate checking workload with industrialisation manager and project managers as needed to support the prevailing work load.
  • Insure draughting style consistency between drawings as per Alaris draughting specifications.
  • Verify the BOM, CAD model and assembly documentation.
  • Verify the nominal fits of all parts as they are detailed from an overall layout.
  • Seek out clarity and advice from designers as needed to insure design questions are answered up front.
  • Check electronic documents between various formats (DWG, DXF, STP, PDF, ZIP, etc.).
  • Checking of detail and assembly drawings and assembly instructions from engineers’ layouts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to insure the success of projects, individuals, and the company.
  • Plot and manage CAD files, original plots, and manage the electronic file backups.
  • Translate electronic documents between various formats (DWG, DXF, STP, PDF, ZIP, etc.).
  • Update older drawings.

Senior Administrator - Operations, Shipping and Arms Control

The SENIOR ADMINISTRATOR – OPERATIONS, SHIPPING AND ARMS CONTROL is part of the Operations Administration and Shipping Department and will be responsible for administration of the Order Fulfilment Process, Order delivery and legal compliance of Arms Control Related Functions.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

ARMS CONTROL:

  • Arms Control Process adherence and improvement
  • Applying for all Arms Control related permits / registrations / paperwork etc. in time to enable legal shipments.
  • Completion of Contracting Permits / End User Certificates / End User Undertakings
  • Liaising with DCAC concerning all permit related matters
  • Maintaining good relations with DCAC and understanding the modus operandi of the DCAC
  • Liaising with Arms Control auditors and government officials
  • Keeping record of all permits and applications, filing, excel records etc.

OPERATIONS:

  • Checking, approving, confirming and releasing of Purchase orders received from Clients.
  • Liaising with various internal departments to ensure order fulfilment is completed successfully.
  • Preparation of shipping documentation
  • Invoicing of delivered items and services.
  • Bulk packaging and preparation of goods for shipment
  • Liaising with Couriers and Freight forwarders to arrange and track shipments, as well as to assist with any problems that may occur.
  • Liaising with clients with regards to shipping arrangements, documentation and confirmation.

Quality Control Engineer

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

Quality
• Ensure Quality standards are upheld and improved
• Be proactive and identify potential problems
• Liaise with production and their schedule.
• Ensure in-line Quality control functions as per Assembly Instructions (AI) or existing experience.
• Identify and propose improvements of the AI-s where applicable
• Detect, identify and flag problems on the production floor.
• Completion of relevant test documentation and Data gathering process
• Provide Training and guidance to the production personnel.
• Assist in carrying out customer related quality requirements.
• Assist with non-conformances actions from production and customers

Testing
• Assure all necessary tests are carried as per the AI-s, ATP-a and direct instructions
• Ability to use mechanical and electrical/electronic testing equipment
• Uphold the testing procedures, saving of relevant data and general planning.
• Participate in the ESS planning, execution and Qualification testing.
• Make recommendations for process/product improvement based on test results and experience.
